Exclusive: Everything Tyson Fury eats in a day, according to his chef

Tyson Fury’s incredible body transformation is down to his current diet of 2,800 calories a day, which includes salmon, avocado, Greek yoghurt and olive oil.

Fury weighed in at 277lbs against Deontay Wilder in their trilogy bout in 2021 and was 273lbs in the highly-anticipated rematch in 2020.
At one stage, it appeared Fury would never return to boxing, let alone climb back to the top of the mountain.
The WBC heavyweight champion ballooned up to 30 stone during his three-year hiatus from the sport as he continued to battle with depression.

However, the "Gypsy King" lost more than 100lbs and returned to the sport in 2018 under Ben Davison and now his chef has exclusively revealed the food Fury consumes on a day-to-day basis when in camp.

George Lockhart - who also revealed Conor McGregor's favourite meal included lamb - has been working with Fury since his second encounter against Wilder and is currently looking after him ahead of his upcoming bout against Dillian Whyte alongside New Zealand's first world champion Joseph Parker.

"At the beginning, it was a rough estimate by fat percentage, height, weight and age but after working with him you get to see how well his body responds to certain foods and how he feels - if he's eating too much or not eating enough," he told Planet Sport.

"In terms of calories, it's different each day. He does well eating before workouts. A lot of people need to eat two or three hours before they work out, but Tyson only needs an hour before he works out and he feels great during the workout.
"I thought I would be cooking for an army to feed this guy but Tyson's not really a big eater. Calories right now, if I work the mean out it's about 2,800 calories a day. We're trying to shove food down his throat, to be honest during these periods of time (training camp) but 2,800 seems to be around the magic number."
Lockhart makes salmon cakes with spicy jalapenos, coriander, sriracha honey salmon alongside quinoa as well as skewered chicken with tzatziki sauce. But according to the chef - who took over duties from Timothy Allcock - said it's spicy food that Fury enjoys the most.
"He eats different meals every single day. If we feed him the same thing every single day then it'll get old but the more variety you get, the more nutrients you'll get. Typically, I'll try and do red meat, fish and chicken at least once a day. It's so he gets a variety of the different meats.
"Rice, potatoes, and when I'm cooking the rice you're talking garlic, tomatoes - not only is it good for his digestive but he's getting a lot of micronutrients and minerals.
"We look at just about every superfood out there. A fruit bowl every day, which is blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and the Greek yoghurt. There's also spinach, avocado, olive oil and salmon. But like I said it's based on what he is doing [in training] and what the goals are for him."

Lockhart has also been behind the stove for Irish superstar Conor McGregor and he revealed the former two-division world champion was a pleasure to work with.

"The first time I worked with him was during the Jose Aldo fight and he was still cutting 145lbs (featherweight) and he won in 13 seconds. He was definitely easier than I thought I tell you that, I was surprised in a good way."

"Conor liked lamb. I'd do like lamb chops or a rack of lamb and that tended to be one of his favourite meals," he added.
McGregor - who held world titles at featherweight and lightweight - is currently preparing for another comeback after recovering from a horror leg injury in his defeat to Dustin Poirier.
