Rodri has questioned Arsenal's killer instinct after Manchester City pipped them to the Premier League crown.
Rodrigo Hernandez Cascante, better known as Rodri, is a midfielder for Manchester City and the Spanish national team.
Previously, he has played for Villarreal and Atletico Madrid, having started his youth career at Rayo Majadahonda.
After the 2018/19 season, Manchester City activated Rodri's £62.6million release clause to sign the player.
In December 2015, Rodri made his first-team debut against SD Huesca in the Copa del Rey. he soon established himself as a first team regular and did enough to convince Atletico to sign him back for a reported €25million.
Manchester City signed Rodri on 3 July 2019. The £62.6million fee was City's transfer record until they paid a reported £64million for Ruben Dias.
Rodri's debut season for Manchester City, 2019/20, was one of highs and lows. He impressed personally, but City disappointed as they were well-beaten to the Premier Legaue title by Liverpool. They did, however, win the League Cup, beating Aston Villa 2-1 in the final with Rodri starting in midfield.
He played 52 matches in all competitions and scored four goals, winning the League Cup. However, City lost their Premier League title to Liverpool and were eliminated by Olympique Lyon in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The FA Cup brought another disappointment, though, with Rodri a second half substitute as City lost to Arsenal in the final.
The Spanish ace feature in 46 games in all competitions for the Citizens, with them winning 34 of those.
Rodri was named Champions League player of the year by UEFA after the final and also selected in the team of the season.
Rodri played for Spain at U-16, U-19 and U-21 levels. He was part of the squad which won the 2015 U-19 UEFA European Championship before making his senior debut in March 2018 in a friendly against Germany.
Rodri was named in Spain's squad for Euro 2020 and he started the tournament in the team against Sweden and Poland.
However, after two frustrating draws, boss Luis Enrique looked to get more attacking intent into his midfield and that decision saw Rodri drop to the bench for the rest of the tournament.
He came on in the quarter-final against Switzerland and semi-final against Italy, where the Spaniards' involvement in the tournament came to an end.
Rodri earned a degree in business and economics from the University of Castellon. He is known for shunning social media and the flashy football player lifestyle.
Rodri's salary per year is reportedly £6million and his net worth is around £15million.
