Euro 2024 top scorer tips: Mbappe, Kane, Ronaldo and… Scott McTominay?
Planet Sport has picked out our favourite bets for the Golden Boot winner at Euro 2024 with Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo and more in the mix.
Kai Havertz is a German international who plays for Premier League club Arsenal.
Well-known for his versatility and attacking qualities, he had spells at Alemannia Mariadorf and Alemannia Aachen as a youngster before moving into Bayer Leverkusen's youth system in 2010.
Havertz shot to stardom on the books of Bayer Leverkusen before earning a record move to Chelsea.
He made his breakthrough in the senior national team in 2018, shortly after the FIFA World Cup in Russia, and scored two goals in the group stages of the delayed UEFA Euro 2020 tournament.
In June 2023, Havertz joined Arsenal - for £65million on a five-year contract - after three seasons with Chelsea, during which he made 139 appearances, scoring 32 goals, including the winner in the 2021 Champions League final.
On October 15, 2016, Havertz came on as a substitute for Charles Aranguiz in a 2-1 Bundesliga defeat.
He scored his first goal on April 2, 2017 in a 3-3 draw with VfL Wolfsburg, becoming Leverkusen's youngest goalscorer at the age of 17.
On April 14, 2018, Havertz became the youngest player in Bundesliga history to reach 50 appearances. He achieved the landmark at 18 years and 307 days old, breaking the record set by future Chelsea team-mate Timo Werner.
The 2018/19 season was a real breakthrough campaign for Havertz as he scored 20 times in all competitions. He followed up in 2019/20 with 18.
On September 4, 2020, Chelsea announced the Havertz signing for a reported fee of £75.8million.
Havertz initially struggled at Chelsea under Frank Lampard, but there were high moments as well for him. He scored a hat-trick in the League Cup in a 6-0 third round thrashing of Barnsley, announcing himself to the Stamford Bridge faithful in style (although the Covid-19 pandemic meant that they were not there to cheer him on in person).
On November 4, it was revealed Havertz had tested positive for Covid-19, with the Blues youngster reportedly suffering severely with the symptoms.
Thomas Tuchel replaced Lampard as head coach following his sacking roughly midway through the season. Under his fellow German, Havertz rediscovered some of his best form. Chelsea finished fourth in the Premier League and secured UEFA Champions League soccer for the following season.

Chelsea's new manager Mauricio Pochettino arrived ahead of the 2023/24 season and was presented with a large playing squad that need thinning out. So on June 28, 2023, Havertz completed a £65million switch to Chelsea's London rivals Arsenal on a five-year contract.
Havertz had spent three seasons with the Blues, during which he made 139 appearances, scored 32 goals, including the winner in the 2021 Champions League final.
The former Bayer Leverkusen player posted a message on social media bidding farewell to Chelsea, saying he was writing "with a heavy heart...saying goodbye to the club that has become my second home, and to the incredible fans who have supported me throughout this amazing journey."
Havertz received his first call-up to the Germany senior national team on August 29, 2018, having represented his country at various age group levels and captained them at U-19 level.
Havertz made his international debut on September 9, 2018, coming on as a substitute for Timo Werner against Peru. Germany won the game 2-1.
Havertz was named in Joachim Low's squad for Euro 2020. He scored in the 4-2 win over Portugal and the 2-2 draw with Hungary as Germany scraped through the group stage before crashing out in the round of 16 to England.
He scored a brace for Germany in their final group game at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, in a 4-2 victory over Costa Rica.
Kai Havertz has been in a long-term relationship with model and social media influencer Sophie Weber since 2018.
Havertz is reportedly on £200,000-a-week at Arsenal and has an estimated net worth of £9million.
