ATP Finals: Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal avoid each other in group stage draw

Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic will meet later at the ATP Finals - if they meet at all - after the group stage draw was revealed.

Nadal is the top seed at the year-end championships for the fifth time after the withdrawal of World No 1 Carlos Alcaraz.
The Spaniard, this year's Australian Open and Roland Garros champion, will rather incredibly be out to lift the season finale trophy for the first time.
The Raging Bull leads Green Group which includes the man he beat in Paris Casper Ruud, as well as Felix Auger-Aliassime and Taylor Fritz who had battled for the last place at the tournament before an injury to the rankings king ensured both North Americans would be in the field.
"It's always great news to be playing the last event of the year. That says that you had a great season, so I'm excited," Nadal said. "Italy is a very close country for me. Being in Turin for the first time in my life, it's a new experience, so I'm very happy for that and I'm looking forward to seeing the stadium and the fans. I'll try my best as always."
Seventh seed Novak Djokovic is out to make history at the Pala Alpitour with this event being one that he has dominated in years gone by.
The five-time champion can tie Roger Federer's record of six Nitto ATP Finals titles if he can outlast the other seven men vying for the season-ender.
Stefanos Tsitsipas tops Red Group with Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev.
Tsitsipas is one of the candidates to end the year as the World No 1 and would make history as the first man to top the rankings at year end without winning a Grand Slam.
Three former ATP Tour Finals titlists are in the field: Djokovic, Medvedev and Tsitsipas.
The draw was held at Intesa Sanpaolo Headquarters in Turin and conducted alongside the draw for the doubles.
