Who will win the Premier League? Betting odds for the 2024/25 season

Mikel Arteta

The new Premier League season has cleared the first international break hurdle and is charging into autumn. Here we run through the favourites to win the 2024/25 crown.

Manchester City made history last season as they became the first ever club in English football to win four straight league titles.

The Citizens have won six of the last seven Premier League campaigns as the competition risks turning into a rich man’s Bundesliga. But have they started to wobble?

Arsenal managed to halt Manchester City's 100% record in a fiery 2-2 draw, and now Rodri is out of action for the rest of the season. Has that done anything to the title odds?

(all odds are correct at time of last article update)

Arsenal to win the Premier League (11/8)

Arsenal came close to dethroning Man City over the last two seasons, but now it looks as though the momentum is with the North London side.

The 2-2 draw at Manchester City was encouraging and made them 7/4 to win the title.

The Gunners shortened even further after their last-gasp 4-2 win over Leicester, and City dropped points to Newcastle.

The 3-1 win over Southampton kept them on top of this market.

Can Arsenal stay on top for the rest of the season?

Manchester City to win the Premier League (7/4)

Manchester City were the bookies favourites to win the Premier League

But with the massive news that Rodri is out for the season, the bookies started to wobble.

That was followed by a 1-1 draw with Newcastle, which tipped the scales and pushed them back to second favourites for the title for the first time this season.

City are now 7/4 to win the Premier League having been 11/10.

Liverpool to win the Premier League (7/2)

Liverpool are still the third horse in the Premier League title race and have regained their stride after the defeat to Nottingham Forest.

That defeat pushed Arne Slot's side back to 8/1, but then they got the wind back in their sails.

A 3-0 home win over Bournemouth shortened their odds to 6/1, and that was followed by victories over Wolves and Crystal Palace which had them creep in to 7/2.

Chelsea to win the Premier League (20/1)

Chelsea were the big market movers.

Destroying West Ham had them pegged at 25/1, after being as big as 40/1 earlier in the season.

Then Cole Palmer's four goals against Brighton saw them shorten even further down to 14/1, but the draw with Forest knocked them back a bit to 20/1.

Are they still title contenders?

Tottenham to win the Premier League (66/1)

Tottenham were early season dark horses, starting off at 25/1.

They pressed the 'Spursy' button early this season, but after dropping as low as 66/1 they clambered back up the market after victories over Brentford and Man Utd.

The terrible 3-2 defeat to Brighton moved them back from 50/1 to 66/1, not a convincing price to make you think they could win the title, but the uber-positive might consider an each-way punt....as long as they stop throwing away comfortable leads.

Aston Villa to win the Premier League (100/1)

Villa have been quietly going about their business this season, and despite being fifth in the table with four wins and one defeat (to Arsenal) they've not really got the bookies in a fluster.

They started the season at 50/1, and have been dancing around that mark ever since.

The 0-0 draw with Man Utd saw them drop from 66/1 to 100/1, but if you shop around you could land prices of 125/1 if you are up for a bit of each-way action.

Manchester United to win the Premier League (150/1)

The drunken uncle at a wedding lurches from one problem to another.

Manchester United started the season as a potential Premier League dark horse in the betting market, but that didn't take too long to wear off.

They dropped to 25/1 after a defeat to Brighton and then further still after a 3-0 pumping by Liverpool.

The away win at Southampton steadied the ship and they settled at 50/1.

However, the goalless draw at Crystal Palace, the disaster against Spurs had the goalless draw with Villa has pushed them to a seasonal low of 150/1..

Newcastle to win the Premier League (300/1)

Newcastle were as high as 33/1 to win the league after reaching third in the table with a healthy ten points after four games.

A 3-1 away to defeat to Fulham saw confidence crumble away and the Magpies dropped as low as 150/1.

They've bounced back to 80/1 after the draw with Manchester City, but the goalless draw with Everton now has them anywhere between 100/1 and 300/1 depending on who your turf accountant is.
