Wales vs Gibraltar tips and predictions: Young Dragons to make an impact in high-scoring win

Wales are expected to inject new blood into the national side as their transition period continues against Gibraltar this Thursday (1700 BST).
It’s fair to say that the Welsh national side have been going through a transition period ever since their talismanic star Gareth Bale was among a crop of players to depart after the 2022 World Cup.
Nevertheless, Rob Page and his men put on a half-decent display in the Euro qualifiers as they missed out on a ticket to Germany after a valiant effort in the play-offs.
Wales demolished Finland 4-1 in the semi-final but were beaten by Poland in Cardiff after a tense penalty shoot-out.
In truth, Page’s side weren’t a million miles off qualifying for the tournament in the group stage as they finished in third place – just four points adrift of Croatia.
Missing out on a major tournament is never a good thing, though Wales will be looking to use the time wisely.
Page is intent on injecting fresh blood into his side and the likes of Charlie Crew, Fin Stevens, Lewis Koumas and Matt Baker are all expected to make their debuts.
Wales will field an inexperienced side though they should still possess enough quality to get past Gibraltar.
The small British territory have lost 13 straight games in a row – this includes a 14-0 defeat to France.
Gibraltar haven’t scored a single goal during those 13 games and last found the back of the net in a 1-0 win over Andorra back in November 2022.
With that in mind, we’re backing Wales to flourish in Faro and pick up a relatively comfortable victory.
Bets in the goal scoring market are likely to be popular as the young Dragons look to make an impact.
