Sheffield United vs Tottenham tips and predictions: Spurs to punish woeful Blades

It all seemed to be smelling of roses for Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham during the first half of the season, but those hopes have been destroyed in a run-in that would have even given Pep Guardiola and Manchester City nightmares. 

Five defeats in their last six, all to teams in the top seven, means that Tottenham won't be playing Champions League football next season.

What will have been frustrating for Postecoglou is the manner of the defeats, shipping in 15 goals in the process. 

However, the fixture gods have thrown them up a perfect season ender, a trip to Sheffield United. 

Lets be honest... the Blades have been abysmal this season and have cemented their place as one of the worst Premier League sides in history. 

The decision to bring club legend Chris Wilder back hasn't had the desired impact and they have been breaking records for fun, but for all the wrong reasons. 

They have shipped in 101 goals, a Premier League record, while Newcastle scored 13 goals against them in two matches, the most ever scored against one side in a single season.

The Blades will be looking to end their latest foray into the top flight with a win, but despite Spurs' poor form they should brush Wilder's men aside with relative ease. 

Heung-Min Son has reached double figures in the Premier League for the eighth consecutive season and has stepped into the Harry Kane shaped void. You'd think he'd fancy his chances of grabbing a goal against the leakiest of defences. 

With the Blades' horrific defence there are always goals around, with Wilder's men conceding four or more goals on nine occasions this season, so Spurs' attackers will be looking to finish the campaign with a flourish. 

Sheffield United have been the lame duck in the Premier League run-in and we expect Postecoglou's boys to take their fustrations out on the home side.

They'll grab a comfortable, high-scoring win and mostly important take fifth place and Europa League football next season. Slamming the door firmly shut on Chelsea sneaking into fifth at the last minute.

Max Lowe, Rhys Norrington-Davies, Oliver McBurnie, Chris Basham, John Egan, Daniel Jebbison, George Baldock and Tom Davies are all ruled out with injury. 

Amel Ahmedhodzic is available after his suspension, while Ben Osborn, Andre Brooks and Oliver Arblaster are doubts.

Tottenham are without Destiny Udogie, Fraser Forster, Ryan Sessegnon, Timo Werner, Manor Solomon, Ben Davies, Richarlison and Yves Bissouma who are all ruled out with injury.
