Sheffield United vs Fulham tips and predictions: Prolific Muniz to lead Cottagers to victory

Beleaguered Sheffield United will likely suffer their latest Premier League defeat when they play host to Fulham on Saturday (1500 GMT).

Sheffield United have averaged 0.5 points per game this season and probably need 20 points from 10 games to survive.

The Blades are on borrowed time and haven't looked good enough to be at this level this season.

Fulham have beaten Man Utd, Brighton and Tottenham in their last four matches but their win at Old Trafford was just their second in 14 matches.

Marco Silva’s side must be targeting a top-half finish and it’s worth remembering that seventh could yield European football.

The Cottagers have plenty to play for and rather than complicate this fixture, we will do the obvious thing and find a way to back the visitors.

Chris Wilder’s side will win games before the season is done and they’ll probably be at home, but there are levels between the organisation of these sides.

It only takes the first goal to go in and heads tend to drop. Fulham have opened the scoring in five of seven, while United have conceded first in 12 of 14 at home.

Even in their four closest losses to Crystal Palace (1-0), Man City (2-1), Man Utd (2-1) and Luton (3-2), the Blades allowed 80 shots and 1xG per 10 shots.

Team news

Sheffield United were without 12 players just a few weeks ago but their injury list could be as short as five if Cameron Archer and Anis Ben Slimane are fit.

Daniel Jebbison has recovered during the international break while Mason Holgate is no longer suspended.

At the time of writing, Fulham have no injury concerns.

Rodrigo Muniz will likely keep his place ahead of Raul Jimenez having scored seven goals in seven appearances.
