Saturday’s international acca: Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland among big names to feature

There’s a big round of international friendlies on Saturday evening as the likes of Portugal, Denmark, Belgium and Spain step up their preparations for the forthcoming Euros.

With the Euro 2024 tournament just days away, all 24 participants are putting together the final touches before making their way to Germany.

Planet Sport Bet special: Bet on an acca with a minimum of five selections and if you win, your payout will be boosted by 50%

Saturday’s acca

Portugal vs Croatia: Both teams to score
Erling Haaland to score anytime vs Denmark
Romelu Lukaku to score anytime vs Luxembourg
Spain -2 handicap vs Northern Ireland
Colombia to beat USA

Portugal vs Croatia (1745 BST)

Cristiano Ronaldo was not involved in Portugal’s 4-2 win over Finland last Tuesday meaning the five-time Ballon d’Or winner could feature against Croatia.

The likes of Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva are also likely to get some minutes while the Croats are expected to feature Mateo Kovacic, Josko Gvardiol and Ivan Perisic.

With so much quality on the field, we’re expecting both teams to get on the scoresheet.

Denmark vs Norway (1830 BST)

There’s an all-Scandinavian clash taking place in Brondby this weekend as Denmark continue their Euro preparations against Norway.

There are a number of big names that could feature including Man City striker Erling Haaland.

The Premier League ace is just four goals short of breaking the all-time Norwegian goalscoring record which currently stands at 33.

We’re backing him to get one step closer with a strike against the Danes.

Belgium vs Luxembourg (1900 BST)

Speaking of strikers, Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku will be determined to add to his international tally after coach Domenico Tedesco confirmed the striker would feature.

Lukaku was the top scorer in qualifying with 14 efforts to his name and he could cause Luxembourg a world of problems.

We’re backing the AS Roma star to get among the goals as Belgium look to sign off their preparations with a solid win.

Spain vs Northern Ireland (2030 BST)

Many are backing Spain to be one of the top title challengers at the Euros and they will be looking to underline those credentials with a big victory over Northern Ireland.

The Spaniards have lost just one of their last 11 matches, averaging 2.9 goals per game.

The gulf in quality between the two sides is sizable, leaving us with no option but to back Spain in the -2 handicap market.

USA vs Colombia (2230 BST)

Away from Europe, there is a big Copa America warm-up fixture as the United States take on Colombia.

Incredibly, the Colombians are unbeaten since February 2022 having gone 21 games without tasting defeat.

USA don’t possess enough quality to break that run. We’re backing the visitors to bag their seventh straight win on the international stage.
