Preston vs Leicester City tips and predictions: Lilywhites to finish on a high against Foxes

Leicester City are promoted but we’re willing to bet that Monday's opponents (2000 BST) Preston North End will make them wait to confirm their status as champions
This season has presented us with the most competitive Championship promotion race ever, full of unpredictable twists and turns.
Therefore, it’s only fair that Preston cause some chaos at Deepdale on Monday night to ensure the fight goes down to the final day of the season.
If the Lilywhites can upset the apple cart, then Ipswich could still wrestle the title away from the Foxes.
That depends on how Ipswich go at Coventry on Tuesday but at the time of writing, we're forecasting a win for the Tractor Boys.
That was also the consensus when the Foxes beat Norwich and Birmingham to record back-to-back wins at home before going on to lose to Millwall and Plymouth.
No one can question City’s home form, yet they’re winless in four on the road and have dropped points in nine of 15.
Preston’s recent run of form has seen them lose three on the spin without scoring a goal but we’re not going to get carried away with that disappointing stretch.
Ryan Lowe’s side are hit and miss and faced some tough fixtures against Norwich and Southampton. Those defeats ended their play-off chances and they were flat against QPR.
They’ve had nine days to recharge the batteries and the players should be suitably motivated to play the role of spoiler and sign off their home campaign with a win.
Whilst we aren’t suggesting they’ll take all three points, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them cause Enzo Maresca’s side some problems.
Preston have found the net in 17 of 22 at Deepdale while both teams have scored in 15. Games against Leeds, Ipswich and Southampton yielded seven goals and seven points.
