Manchester City vs Nottingham Forest tips: Goals to flow at the Etihad but not just for the Citizens

Planet Sport Bet ambassador Robbie Savage is backing the Premier League champions to continue their perfect start to the season, but Nottingham Forest won't make it a walk in the park.

I predicted Forest to score on the road on a few occasions, I think they’ll get a goal here. I really like the look of Steve Cooper’s side, especially that front four.

I think they’ll get an away goal, but I think City are looking to win six consecutive games - the first six of the Premier League season - for only the second time.

I think they’ll do that, especially being at the Etihad. I’m going for a 3-1 City win.

Robbie’s Pick: Manchester City 3-1 Nottingham Forest

Team news

Manchester City will be looking to maintain their perfect start to the season without the aid of Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva.

There are also injury concerns over Jack Grealish, Mateo Kovacic and John Stones.

Nottingham Forest are also facing injury question marks over Serge Aurier, Willy Boly, Danilo and Wayne Hennessey.

Key stats

- Manchester City are unbeaten in six league games against Nottingham Forest

- Nottingham Forest lost 6-0 on their last visit to the Etihad

- Manchester City won their last 12 home Premier League matches

- Manchester City are looking to start the season with six straight PL wins for just the second time

Other suggested bets from Planet Sport

League leaders Manchester City will be determined to maintain their perfect start to the season as they target their sixth straight Premier League win.

Nottingham Forest won’t have happy memories of their last visit to the Etihad stadium having shipped six goals.

However, Forest have enjoyed a strong start to the season and few are expecting Steve Cooper’s men to face another hammering.

Forest have scored a goal in all five of their Premier League games so far this season, and we’re expecting that run to continue. Despite this, backing Man City to win the match is the way to go.
