Man Utd vs Fulham tips and predictions: Red-hot Devils could flatten leaky visitors

Man Utd will look to extend their winning streak to six matches on Saturday afternoon (1500 GMT) when they welcome a Fulham side struggling for form on their travels.

After spending weeks proclaiming we’re yet to be convinced by Manchester United’s winning run, we’re ready to bite the bullet, dish out some praise and back them here.

That means Fulham will probably turn up for the first time in an away game this season and run riot at Old Trafford.

On a serious note, the Reds have won six of seven across all competitions and scored at least twice in each match.

There’s still some criticism to be levelled at them, particularly making hard work of two-goal leads against Newport, Wolves and Luton.

Fulham look like a nice opponent to keep the good times rolling as Marco Silva’s men have failed to find the winning formula on their travels.

The Cottagers are winless in 11 on their travels and by and large have failed to take points from teams other than those in a relegation battle since early 2021.

Notably, this is a fixture United have dominated. They haven’t lost to Fulham in 16 meetings dating back to 2009 and they’ve won 13 and drawn two of the previous 15 at Old Trafford.

Despite these considerations, the bookmakers still don’t trust United either. There as big as 6/10 just to win at some outlets at the time of writing.

We want a bigger price than that so with their recent 3-0 win over West Ham in mind, we’ll back Erik ten Hag’s side in the -1.5 Asian handicap market.

Alejandro Garnacho has been firing on all cylinders in recent weeks, with three goal contributions in his last three including a brace against West Ham in the Red Devils' last home game.

We expect that the Argentinian winger will have plenty of chance to add to his ever-rising tally of goal contributions here.

Team news

Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Mason Mount, Anthony Martial are unavailable for Man Utd.

Rasmus Hojlund, who has scored in his last six league games, will be unavailable as he has a muscle injury.

Raul Jimenez is the only confirmed injury absentee for Fulham but Kenny Tete and Armando Broja are doubtful.

Joao Palinha will serve a suspension for 10 yellow cards, severely weakening the Cottagers midfield.
