Man City vs Arsenal tips and predictions: Premier League title dreams on the line at the Etihad

Man City host Arsenal at the Etihad stadium in what could be a pivotal fixture in the Premier League title race (Sunday, 1630 GMT).

The Gunners entered the international break top of the standings but only by the narrowest of margins.

Mikel Arteta’s men boast the best defence and the best attack in the league, though it remains to be seen whether they have what it takes to get over the line.

Sunday’s clash at the Etihad stadium should tell us a lot about the direction this title race is heading.

A win for the Gunners would move them four points above City and would also help them keep Liverpool at bay.

However, getting a win at the Etihad is far easier said than done. Arsenal have lost their last eight trips to the stadium, scoring just four goals in the process.

Then again, Arteta’s men have enjoyed an impervious start to 2024. Since the turn of the year, Arsenal have won all eight Premier League games and also booked their spot in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Man City are also in good form. In fact, Pep Guardiola’s men are unbeaten in 22 games across all competitions, winning 19 of them.

The Citizens are targeting a fifth straight win at home and seemingly carry the psychological advantage considering how they chased down the Gunners last season.

With that in mind, we’re backing the hosts to prevail. Man City to win the match by a single goal margin is the way to go.

Kevin De Bruyne has scored a career-high eight goals against Arsenal in 20 meetings. We’re backing the Belgian maestro to haunt his rivals once again in the anytime goalscorer market.
