Luton vs Man Utd tips and predictions: Plucky Hatters can halt Reds revival

Elijah Adebayo scores for Luton
Kenilworth Road will be rocking for the visit of another Premier League big gun when Luton Town take on Man Utd on Sunday (1630 GMT).
Luton Town will be desperate to bounce back from a very poor result against fellow relegation battlers Sheffield United last weekend.
The Hatters lost 1-0 at Old Trafford earlier in the season and have run several top teams close on home soil.
We said before last weekend’s win over Aston Villa that we aren’t convinced Man Utd have turned a corner and the 2-1 win at Villa Park has done little to change our minds.
Credit where it’s due because the Reds are finding ways to win when they aren’t at their best when earlier in the season they’d crumble and make mistakes.
United pounced early in what was a fairly even first half, but they were unable to stem the Villa tide in the second half.
The hosts piled the pressure on and it looked like a familiar outcome was in the making as United started to creek, but Scott McTominay’s late heroics rescued all three points.
They’ll come under a different type of challenge against Town but Rob Edwards' side were awkward enough to pinch a point from Liverpool and run Arsenal and City close.
The 3-1 defeat to Sheffield United was the first time in 67 matches Luton were beaten by more than the odd goal at home so it’s reasonable to expect any game here to be close.
The confident visitors may have the quality to be clinical in key moments, but the numbers show they haven’t been creating high-quality chances on their travels this season.
