Leicester vs Southampton tips and predictions: Saints go down swinging at King Power

Leicester City welcome Southampton to the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night for a game with major implications in the Championship promotion race (2000 BST).
This Championship season is wild. Leicester joined the 90-point club with three games remaining and Leeds joined them on Monday night with a win over Middlesbrough.
Ipswich should be the next patron through the door but first, Southampton could take a massive step towards it with a crucial win at the King Power on Tuesday night.
The Foxes have put the champagne back on the ice with promotion no longer a possibility on Tuesday, but three points here will mean it’s entirely in their hands on Monday night.
Russell Martin could have joined Enzo Maresca in the top three with a win on Tuesday had the Saints not collapsed at Cardiff in a must-win match.
The visitors dominated the first half, took an early lead and did enough to score two or three, but failing to take their chances they left the door open and like Ipswich, they were beaten 2-1 in Wales.
Southampton continue to dominate games and while the hosts attempt to do the same, they arguably look better breaking than they do employing Maresca’s methodical style.
Both teams are in danger if a move breaks down high up the pitch, and with both struggling to keep clean sheets consistently, goals are likely.
City are formidable at home but Leeds, Hull, Ipswich and Boro have claimed points here, while other top sides caused them trouble.
Southampton’s away record against top-half teams is poor, failing to win eight of 10, but Leicester have dropped points in seven of 11, so picking a winner is no easy task.
We'd lean towards the home side, but not before the visitors give it a right good go on the night and provide some entertainment.
