Fulham vs Crystal Palace tips and predictions: Rejuvenated Eagles hunt club record in London derby

Crystal Palace will be looking for an unprecedented fourth straight win when they travel to Fulham this Saturday (1500 BST).

We have all been so preoccupied with the title and relegation battles that we have almost missed Crystal Palace’s transition into a prime 2008 Barcelona.

Oliver Glasner’s job when he first arrived at Selhurst Park was to safetly guide the ship towards the end of the season before beginning serious rebuilding work over the summer.

Instead, the Austrian has already started the process of turning a previously hopeless Eagles side into something from a FIFA video game.

Over the last three weeks, Palace bagged two goals against Man City, beat Liverpool at Anfield, thrashed West Ham at home and beat a Europe-chasing Newcastle side to nil.

Where has this all come from? Is it those Austrian wiener schnitzels? Perhaps. One thing’s for sure, Fulham are in trouble.

The Cottagers have picked up one win across their last five matches and have conceded 10 goals along the way.

If Palace turn up at their best, we expect the visitors to bag an unprecedented fourth straight Premier League victory.

The club record for the most consecutive victories in the competition is five and we certainly wouldn’t put it past this Palace side from breaking that feat.

As far as this game is concerned, backing the Eagles to win the match is the way to go. Over 2.5 goals is another enticing proposition.

Team news

Fulham’s sole injury worry concerns Willian who is being assessed and could yet feature.

Palace, on the other hand, are without Cheick Doucoure, Marc Guehi, Rob Holding, Sam Johnstone, Jefferson Lerma and Matheus Franca.
