Euro 2024 qualifying acca tips and predictions: Ukraine to progress, Wales and Poland to score

The Euro 2024 qualifying campaign concludes on Tuesday as Wales face Poland, Ukraine host Iceland and Georgia clash with Greece.

Three games are left in Euro 2024 qualifying and we’ve compiled a treble for your betting pleasure on Tuesday.

If you wish to take advantage of Planet Sport Bet’s 50% payout boost when backing five or more acca selections, then add two more legs to this 3/1 treble.

Euro 2024 treble

Wales vs Poland: Both teams to score

Ukraine to beat Iceland

Georgia vs Greece: Under 2.5 goals

Wales vs Poland

Wales are typically underdogs when it comes to qualifying but they’ll kick off as the bookmakers favourites to progress on Tuesday.

Rob Page’s side have defied the odds to reach this final by escaping a group with Croatia and Turkey and bouncing back from consecutive defeats early on.

Poland won back-to-back meetings as recently as 2022 in the Nations League but the players from that Welsh team have grown since.

The visitors have won two of their previous 10 on their travels, a 1-0 win over Wales in that competition, plus a 2-0 win against the Faroe Islands in qualifying.

In three games before that, they lost 3-1 to Czechia, 3-2 to Moldova and 2-0 to Albania, so they’ll need to up their level of performance here.

Despite those setbacks, it’s a rare occasion when the Poles fail to score, which is hardly surprising given their talent going forward.

If you forced us to pick a winner then we’d back the hosts given Poland’s defensive deficiencies, but don’t be surprised if it’s a late night in Cardiff.

Ukraine vs Iceland

We expected Ukraine to win in Bosnia, citing it was no longer a tough place to play football. The visitors did indeed dominate as they enjoyed 67% of possession.

However, that didn’t stop them from trailing until the 85th when Roman Yaremchuk drew them level before Artem Dovbyk’s 88th-minute winner.

They’ve lost four of their previous 25 matches in all competitions and will host Iceland for the right to board the plane to Germany.

Iceland’s 4-1 win in Isreal was a surprise victory against the odds, but Ukraine is an even tougher test, which we expect them to fail.

They’ve had their successes in recent years but they are minnows and they tend to lose when travelling to face any half-decent side.

Georgia vs Greece

We went with under 2.5 goals as Georgia beat Luxembourg 2-0 on Friday night and we’ll stick with the same bet here.

The visitors may be able to dictate what sort of game this is and we only need to look at their recent results to gauge what that means.

One team has failed to score in each of their last seven qualifiers and there were under 2.5 goals in five of those matches.

There have been under 2.5 goals in 10 of their last 14 matches in all competitions.

Georgia have played their part in some wild games during this qualifying campaign but are also typically low-scoring.

The hosts scored under 1.5 goals in 17 of 22 European qualifiers, and their most recent meetings with Greece finished 0-2 and 1-1 in 2022.
