Euro 2024 acca tips and predictions: Wales on qualification trail again, Ukraine can go one better

There are three spots at Euro 2024 up for grabs during this international break and some big outsiders are hoping to crash the party.

Wales vs Finland

Wales should have enough quality to beat a Finland side that hasn’t been as strong in recent years and lacks legs up top.

Teemu Pukki is still deadly but the Welsh have some very in-form players capable of keeping the visitors quiet.

Kieffer Moore is firing on all cylinders for his club with six goals in 10 matches and there doesn’t look to be enough quality in wide areas to stop Wales from getting in behind.

 

Poland vs Estonia

Poland were caught out by surprise package Moldova in the group stages, dropping four points which was the difference between this and automatic qualification.

Estonia is most comparable to the Faroe Islands of all the teams the Poles faced. The Eagles beat them 2-0 home and away and shouldn’t have any issues here.

The visitors have scored in four of their previous 16 Euro qualifiers while the hosts have shut out six of their previous nine visitors.

 

Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Ukraine

Italy, England and Spain are the only nations to have beaten Ukraine in a European Championship qualifier in the past decade.

They’ve been equally as hard to beat in World Cup qualifiers and we have plenty of evidence that they can win this tie as they beat a better Bosnia side 2-0 in Sarajevo in 2021.

The hosts lost seven of 10 qualifiers and failed to score in the majority of those defeats. Ukraine tend to travel well and Bosnia is no longer an intimidating away day.

 

Greece vs Kazakhstan

It would be foolish to write the visitors off. They’ve scored in nine of 11 away days and each of their last seven Euro qualifiers, including a 3-1 defeat to Denmark.

Greece often find ways to make life hard. Georgia, Kosovo, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Honduras and Finland are among the teams to score here in recent years.

 

Georgia vs Luxembourg

Unless you’re from Georgia or Luxembourg then this one isn’t for the faint-hearted.

Both sides should be able to remain well-organised throughout given the level of opposition and neither will want to expose themselves too early.
