Bundesliga preview and tips: Dortmund on brink of ending a decade of Bayern Munich dominance

Football betting expert Paul Bathurst correctly predicted Bayern Munich's shock home defeat to RB Leipzig last weekend, so who does he think will be crowned champions of Germany this weekend?

Things looked very bright for those of a Bayern Munich persuasion at half-time last Saturday evening after Serge Gnabry's first half goal had them comfortably leading RB Leipzig.
If the result had remained the same, it would have been Thomas Tuchel's side with their title fate firmly in their own hands come the final game.

Marco Rose and his Leipzig players had other ideas, and with Champions League qualification on the line they performed an unlikely smash-and-grab with a brilliant second-half performance, resulting in a 3-1 win to break Bayern's hearts.

Konrad Laimer's 64th minute strike levelled proceedings, before Christopher Nkunku and Dominik Szoboszlai both scored penalties in a monumental victory for the away side.

Bayern should win their final game comfortably and they'll be expected to race out of the starting blocks, as an early goal would increase the pressure on Dortmund.

A bet on HT/FT around 10/11 for Bayern looks a wise option, especially with Koln having little motivation.

Suggested bet: Half-time/Full-time - Bayern Munich/Bayern Munich

Serge Gnabry has an outside chance of the golden boot as he sits just two goals behind Werder Bremen's Niklas Fullkrug, who has bagged 16.
The Germany forward has been in incredible form and odds of around 11/10 for him to score anytime is appealing, while a brace at 5/1 and a hattrick at 22/1 might be worth small stakes also.
Suggested bet: Serge Gnabry to score at any time

Borussia Dortmund had the luxury of knowing their rivals' result before they kicked off last weekend, and they would have likely watched the drama unfold before facing an away trip at Augsburg the following day.

While manager Eden Terzic and his players would undoubtedly claim they still have a job to do, the Dortmund camp would surely have relished Leipzig's second-half comeback.
Dortmund would do their job 24 hours later with a dominant 3-0 win over Augsburg, who had their central defender Felix Uduokhai sent off in the first half.
Sebastien Haller had bravely battled testicular cancer earlier in the season, so how fitting it was that he would be the man to score the crucial opener with a sensational finish.
Haller would add a second late on after Marco Reus saw his shot parried straight into the path of the Ivorian centre forward, while Julian Brandt's 93rd-minute goal completed the victory.
Dortmund have been putting up huge xG numbers in recent weeks, in turn they've been scoring plenty of goals with their last three results being 6-0, 5-2 and 3-0 wins.
While the prices on goal lines and handicaps feel too short, Haller to score at any time around 5/6 is much more appealing with Dortmund predicted to score at least three times.
Suggested bet: Sebastien Haller to score at any time
Dortmund have one final obstacle in their path to end the Bayern Munich dominance of the past decade, a home game against Mainz 05, who did them a huge favour by beating Bayern back in April.
Mainz have little to play for as they sit firmly in mid-table, so Dortmund could hardly have asked for many better fixtures to get the job done. Bayern Munich will face a similar opponent in FC Koln who also have little motivation, however they will have to get their three points away from home, making their task a little more difficult.

Jude Bellingham will likely be the man revered in the media should Dortmund lift the Bundesliga, but will the English star play in the deciding game?

He missed last week's win with a knee problem, but the Dortmund camp are optimistic he will play, with this game likely being the final time he pulls on the famous black and yellow jersey - Real Madrid are already in advanced negotiations to sign the midfielder.
