Brentford and Premier League table toppers Liverpool will kick-off game week 25 at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday (1230 GMT).

Brentford produced their first clean sheet in 15 matches when beating Wolves 2-0 last weekend but it’s unlikely they’ll shut out Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp’s defence has looked increasingly vulnerable lately but the Reds have fired in 18 goals in six matches to more than make up for it.

Their 3-1 humbling at the Emirates halted their away win streak at four matches and as keen as they’ll be to get back on track, they’ve dropped points in 50% of Premier League trips.

The Bees haven’t been able to trouble the top sides like we’ve seen in previous seasons with Thomas Frank’s side losing seven straight matches against teams in the top seven.

That’s a trend we expect to continue despite the Reds' patchy away form, but Ivan Toney’s return has added a serious goal threat and seems to have elevated other players.

Despite their struggles, the West London club have found the net 21 times in 21 appearances.

in front of their fans. Arsenal remain the only side to have stopped them from scoring at home in 25 attempts.

On the other hand, Liverpool have conceded at least once in 18 of their last 25 Premier League away games.

Although both teams scoring hasn’t been a common theme in recent meetings, it’s worth noting the hosts have scored three in three of four Premier League meetings.

    Team news

Rico Henry, Bryan Mbeumo, Aaron Hickey, Kevin Schade and Joshua Dasilva are ruled out for Brentford.

Yoane Wissa and Frank Onyeka have returned from the African Cup of Nations and will have their fitness tested before the weekend.

Liverpool’s overflowing treatment room features Joel Matip, Dominik Szoboszlai, Thiago Alcantara and Stefjan Bajcetic, who are all ruled out, as well as a host of doubts.

Allison Becker and Joe Gomez have been suffering from illness while Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Connor Bradley look unlikely to feature at the time of writing.
