Arsenal vs Everton tips and predictions: Gunners make no mistake in free-scoring win

Arsenal must beat Everton on Sunday afternoon (1600 BST) and hope for a huge favour from West Ham if they’re to claim the Premier League title.

Arsenal have done their best to apply pressure on Man City in recent weeks, but the Premier League title race isn’t in their hands as they prepare to face Everton.

The Gunners will rely on neighbours West Ham to cause a seismic upset against Man City, yet a flip through the form book tells you that’s rather unlikely.

Still, Mikel Arteta’s side have to focus on the task at hand and hold up their end of the bargain. Sean Dyche’s visitors could make for a dangerous opponent as they have nothing to lose.

The Toffees have battled against multiple points deductions this season to bag a very respectable 40 points and without the legal issues, they’d be sitting pretty in mid-table.

Dyche deserves immense credit for the performances he’s elicited at the business end of the season, as Everton have won five of their last seven with a clean sheet.

Notably, all five of those wins came at Goodison Park. On their travels, they’re winless in 11 and rarely find the goal.

They may want to play spoiler on Sunday, but there’s no substitute for genuine motivation, especially when a team of Arsenal’s quality are involved.

Arteta’s side have kept seven clean sheets in nine Premier League matches, winning all but one of those.

As good as they’ve been at the back, we can’t help but feel this being a free shot for Everton, and the pressure that’ll be on Arsenal, that the visitors will grab a goal.
