Arsenal are likely to be unchanged against Brighton with Jakub Kiwior continuing at centre-back alongside Gabriel. Gabriel returned against Newcastle and will start again, but William Saliba is missing. Mohamed Elneny and Takehiro Tomiyasu are also out.

Brighton will be without Solly March (hamstring). Joel Veltman is also injured, while Adam Lallana has not been seen since January. Jeremy Sarmiento is also missing, but Pascal Gross should be fit and Evan Ferguson could start after featuring from the bench against Everton.

Only Manchester City and Liverpool have collected more home points in the Premier League than Arsenal (42) this season. The Gunners have been reliable at home, winning 13 of their 17 games at The Emirates.

Only the champions Man City have beaten the Gunners in the capital in the league, but Brighton tasted victory in the EFL Cup in November. The Seagulls won 3-1 that night against a much-changed Arsenal. The visitors have a decent record against the Gunners, winning five of the last 11 meetings between the teams.

However, Roberto De Zerbi's men will come into the game on the back of a horrendous 5-1 home defeat to Everton. The Italian is convinced his side will show their real selves against Arsenal, but the drubbing by Everton may take some getting over.

Brighton were expected to hammer the struggling Toffees, but Everton were ahead after just 30 seconds and were 3-0 up after 35 minutes, despite having just 22% possession.

Everton exposed Brighton in transition and produced a ruthless display to dent the hosts' dreams of Europe. The visitors can still reach fifth spot, but such is the current form of Liverpool, a top-seven finish seems more likely.

Away from home, Brighton have won seven times, including at Manchester United, while they also drew at Liverpool. However, the manner of their latest defeat may just see Brighton play more cautiously at The Emirates and Arsenal will be at it from the off.

The Gunners have scored 48 goals at home and have beaten Tottenham, Man Utd and Liverpool. They earned a superb 2-0 win at Newcastle last time out and they will be full of confidence against Brighton. This means taking the 8/11 about a home win seems like a sensible option.

Brighton have been this season's surprise package, but Arsenal's need for points is greater and they are more than capable of exposing a Brighton side that may just be caught in two minds.

If this is the case then expect Arsenal to dominate - and they are so consistent at hitting three and four goals at home that Brighton look unlikely to stop them.

There are signs that Brighton are just running out of steam with two defeats in their last three away from home at Spurs and Nottingham Forest. And Arsenal is not the place to go when you are scrabbling around for an away performance.
