Italy too strong for Turkey and a look ahead to Saturday's matches

Goals from Lorenzo Insigne, Ciro Immobile and an own goal from Merih Demiral gave Italy a commanding 3-0 win over Turkey in the opening game of Euro 2020.

The Italians went ahead in the second half after an unfortunate own goal from Turkey defender Merih Demiral in the 53rd minute.
Ciro Immobile fired home the second from close range, after the Turkish keeper Ugurcan Cakir parried a Leonardo Spinazzola shot.

Then Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne put the finishing touches to a wonderful Italian move in the 79th minute, curling home an excellent finish.

Roberto Mancini's side are now unbeaten in 28 matches, last losing in November 2018 to Portugal, and posted a clear warning to Europe's other leading sides with a dominant display in a ninth straight win.
