As we edge towards the start of another soccer campaign, training ground friendlies, transfer speculation and that unique brand of pre-season optimism are the order of the day.
Not so in Scandinavia though, where playing soccer in the winter is nigh-on impossible, so competing through the summer is commonplace.
That means there's plenty of form to go by when looking for betting angles, and we've zeroed in on the Danish, Finnish and Swedish leagues for three quarters of our Monday acca.
Inter Turku vs HIFK
With the Vekkausliga creeping past the halfway stage, third-placed Inter Turku are clinging on to the coattails of the top two.
Their title challenge has been built on an unbeaten home record, with the Black and Blues winning four and drawn one of their matches at the Veritas Stadion.
Inter only dropped points on their own patch in a 1-1 draw with fourth-placed FC Lahti last time out, and a visit from HIFK should be the perfect opportunity to reignite their title charge.
The visitors are winless in four with just one goal scored in that period, so we're happy to take 13/20 on a home win here.
Silkeborg vs SonderjyskE
Speaking of formidable home records, newly-promoted Silkeborg have one of their own, having won six in a row on their own patch on the way to promotion to the Danish top flight last season.
And they host a Sonderjyske side with very little momentum, having played just two pre-season fixtures and losing them both by an aggregate score of 6-1.
We reckon the visitors will be on the undercooked side going into this one and with the hosts desperate to start their season in style, so 11/10 for the home win will do for us.
Halmstad vs Valbergs BolS
Halmstad are unbeaten in five games at home this season, but before you get too excited, four of those results have been draws and they are actually near the bottom of the Swedish top flight's home form table.
The visitors don't travel well, though, having won one, drawn one and lost three games away from home this campaign.
Just one of Halmstad's last five games has contained more than two goals, with three out of Valberg Bols' last four failing to pass that milestone, and at 8/11 we reckon under 2.5 goals is the way to go here.
Central Cordoba vs Banfield
This should be a close one as both sides finished level on points last season with identical records, although sadly for both it was in the lower reaches of the Argentine Primera Division.
There's not much to go on when it comes to head to head meetings between the two, as Cordoba only returned to the top flight in 2019, but the two games they have played against each other have both ended 1-1.
And with the two sides still finding their feet in their first competitive match of the season, we're going for...drumroll please...yet another draw, at a tasty 2/1.
