Andy’s story is astonishing. An incident in Afghanistan gave him life-changing injuries, and he would eventually have to have the lower part of his right leg amputated.

However, he used this to spur him on, becoming a world-record holder, an Invictus games gold-medallist, and a father, despite being told he would not be able to do any of those things.

Andy had his amputation operation at Derriford Hospital, and has spent a lot of time living or training in Plymouth and Devon. A friend of Tom Cleverley’s, Andy was invited in by our Head Coach to speak about adversity, team ethic, perspective, and more.

The timing could hardly have been more perfect. This weekend, and this week, the football world, and the country in general, will reflect on the sacrifices that people like Andy, and millions like him, have made over the years, as we observe Remembrance events.

On the weekend of Remembrance Sunday, Tom Cleverley invited former Royal Marines Commando @andygbootneck to tell his inspirational story to the squad 💚

Two of our home games in 2026 have been selected for live broadcast on Sky Sports+ 📺

Our meeting with Luton Town at Home Park on Saturday, 24 January, will now kick off at 12.30pm.

Likewise, the visit of Cardiff City to Devon on Saturday, 21 February, will start at the earlier time of 12.30pm.

The EFL and Sky Sports have now confirmed all broadcast selections for the period up to Monday, 2 March, 2026.

Continuing the commitment made ahead of the 2024/25 season, supporters now have up to four months’ notice of fixtures selected for broadcast.

Selections for the next batch of fixtures, after the first weekend in March, will be announced on a four-week rolling basis, starting from Sunday, 1 February, 2026.

Next weekend's home match against Bradford City has been rearranged, due to international call-ups.

Welcome to Argyle, Joe Ralls! 💚

The 32-year-old midfielder signs on a short-term contract, initially until January. 🤝

Ralls departed Cardiff City in the summer, after making 384 appearances and scoring 32 goals in 14 years with the club.

Captaining the Bluebirds for several years, he also had a loan spell with Yeovil Town in 2013.

Forward Joe Hatch has been recalled from his loan spell at Taunton Town.

Hatch, 19, signed his first professional contract in the summer and appeared five times for the Greens prior to joining Taunton on loan in September.

He will now return to Argyle as the club assesses the next stage of his development.
