Xavi Hernandez sees Joao Felix as barrier to Barcelona's transfer plans

FC Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez remains firm in his opposition to retaining Joao Felix, who joined the club on loan from Atletico Madrid last summer.

Despite initial optimism, Felix has failed to secure a permanent spot in Xavi's plans.

Felix's arrival in the final days of the transfer window was orchestrated by sporting director Deco, president Joan Laporta, and super-agent Jorge Mendes.

Although he showed promise early on, Felix's influence has waned, and he now finds himself regularly on the bench.

According to Diario AS, Xavi is clear in his stance: Felix should not continue with Barcelona, regardless of any financial benefits.

Instead, Xavi is focused on keeping Inigo Martinez and Ferran Torres, both of whom are crucial to his vision for the team's future. Vitor Roque, despite needing registration for the upcoming season, also remains a priority for the manager.

In the forward line, Xavi is intent on retaining Raphinha, Torres, and young talent Lamine Yamal. Robert Lewandowski, despite speculation, is also expected to remain with the squad.

Conversely, Vitor Roque's future at the club looks bleak. The 19-year-old has struggled to make an impact on the field and is seen as a financial burden due to his salary demands.

The political dynamics within Barcelona's transfer strategies continue to shape the club's direction, creating uncertainty among fans.

As the club navigates these challenges, Xavi's clear preferences highlight a need for cohesion and strategic clarity in their approach to building a competitive team.
