West Ham face competition for Demarai Gray; Gianluca Scamacca linked with Serie A return

West Ham could face competition for the signing of Demarai Gray, while Gianluca Scamacca appears to be on his way out.

The new Premier League season is just around the corner, yet West Ham are still to reinvest the £100million they received for midfielder Declan Rice.

The England international completed his blockbuster move to Arsenal last month - a deal which made Rice the most expensive English player.
West Ham are still looking to strengthen their squad and one name they have been linked with is Everton's Demarai Gray.
The Irons have got their sights set on the winger as they look to improve their attacking options ahead of the new season.

According to the Daily Mail, David Moyes' men are set to make a move for the Toffees star.

In a separate report from The Sun, Everton will look for around £10million for the player.

While West Ham can certainly afford the price tag, they face competition for the winger from Besiktas and Premier League rivals, Crystal Palace.
Elsewhere, AS Roma are taking a close look at Italian striker Gianluca Scamacca.
The 24-year-old scored just eight goals in 27 appearances since joining the Irons from Sassuolo.
West Ham splashed over £30million on the striker, though the Italian has failed to impress since arriving in the Premier League.

A report from Il Tempo claims AS Roma general manager Tiago Pinto is expected to visit London to finalise a deal for the striker.

Jose Mourinho is looking to bolster his attacking options as the Italian outfit look to build on their sixth-placed finish last season.
