Leeds and Liverpool to battle for Argentina international; England defender wanted by Leicester

Leeds United are front and centre in Friday's transfer rumour mill, as well as a report that Marcelo Bielsa will rule himself out of the running for the Tottenham job in signing a new Leeds contract.

Leeds chasing Rodrigo de Paul, AC Milan and Liverpool also interested

Udinese captain Rodrigo de Paul is a reported target of Leeds United, who are set to battle AC Milan and Liverpool for his signature in the summer, report Il Milanista in Italy.

The 26-year-old Argentina midfielder has experienced playing in his native country and Spain before moving to Italy in 2016, scoring 34 times in 182 appearances for Udinese.

The report claims that Udinese have put a €40million (£34.5million) price tag on De Paul, which would make him Leeds' record signing if he were to go to Elland Road.

Leeds are 4/1 favourites with Sky Bet to sign the midfielder in the next transfer window, while Liverpool are at 7/1.

Bertrand on Leicester's radar

Ryan Bertrand has emerged as a target to move to Leicester City at the end of the season, according to the Leicester Mercury.

After seven years as a Saints player, the club have confirmed that Bertrand will leave St. Mary's over the summer, with Brendan Rodgers hoping to bolster his options at left-back.

31-year-old Bertrand, capped 19 times by England, will be likely to be in demand as a solid option as a free agent at the end of the season.

He is priced at 11/8 to be a Leicester City player after the summer transfer window with Sky Bet, with Arsenal and Leeds priced at 8/1 to move for the defender.

Bielsa expected to pen new Leeds deal

Marcelo Bielsa is reportedly on the verge of signing a new contract to stay at Leeds United beyond the end of this season, report the Telegraph.

Bielsa has only signed one-year deals in his time at Leeds so far, but a two-year contract is said to have been tabled to keep the Argentine at the club.
The Leeds boss had been an outside bet to become the new Tottenham manager, with Bielsa currently priced at 25/1 to take on the Spurs role - although a new contract at Elland Road would put those rumours to bed, which he is expected to sign following the conclusion of the season.

Current Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi is now the 7/4 favourite with Sky Bet to take the Tottenham job, with the market seemingly changing almost daily on who will be the next permanent Spurs boss.
