Nottingham Forest will be determined to bolster their Champions League hopes when they travel to the capital for a date with Tottenham this Monday night (2000 GMT).

Nuno Espirito Santo has done a terrific job turning Nottingham Forest from relegation avoiders into top five challengers, but his job isn’t quite done yet.

Forest have six games remaining to turn a memorable season into a historic one, with Champions League qualification firmly on their radar.

Their chances of joining the European elite took a hit in recent weeks following back-to-back Premier League defeats against Aston Villa and Everton.

With the battle for the top five heating up, Forest can’t afford to drop anymore points in these final six games.

One team that certainly is not in the battle for the top five are Tottenham. While Forest have excelled, Spurs have absolutely tanked in the Premier League this season and could yet finish as low as 17th.

Not including teams in the bottom three, Tottenham have suffered the joint-most league defeats this season, with three of them coming in the last four outings.

With Spurs putting all their eggs into the Europa League basket, Nottingham Forest will certainly fancy their chances of taking all three points back to the City Ground.

Here we pick out some of our best tips for this juicy Easter Sunday meeting, and if you put it into a Betway bet builder you’ll get odds of around 11/1.

Of all the seasons in which you would expect Tottenham to finally end their 16-year trophy drought, this wouldn’t be the one. Yet amazingly, Spurs could prove us all wrong.

Clearly all it took for Spurs to mount a serious trophy challenge was to forgo all the other competitions and focus on arguably the weakest one – the Europa League.

While we don’t mean to be disrespectful, the fact Tottenham are playing in a semi-final against Bodo/Glimt is a testament to the strength of the competition.

Anyway, with Europea League success providing a pathway into the Champions League next season, it’s no surprise that Postecoglou and co are prioritising their continental duties over the domestic ones.

Realistically speaking, Tottenham have nothing to play for in the Premier League other than pride. That certainly can’t be said about Nottingham Forest.

The Tricky Trees are truly in dreamland. It’s not long since Nottingham supporters were watching their team sit bottom of the Championship… now look at them.

A win on Monday would not only snap their two-match losing run but it would also send the club up to third in the table – a point above Newcastle and six behind second-placed Arsenal.

While Forest have endured a couple of recent hiccups, we’re backing them to come back strong against a motivation-starved Spurs side.

Our second addition to the bet builder is both teams to score. Only Man City and Arsenal have kept clean sheets away at Tottenham and we don’t expect Forest to join that exclusive list. Afterall, their last four Premier League away games have all seen BTTS land.

In terms of key threats in this game, Chris Wood is undoubtedly one of them. The New Zealand international recently returned from his hip injury and will be looking to land his first Premier League goal since February.

We’re backing the 33-year-old to have +1 shots on target, with Nottingham looking to utilise their big centre forward.

Our final addition to the bet builder concerns Spurs defender Destiny Udogie. The 22-year-old has made more Premier League tackles than any of his teammates this season. We’re backing the player to produce +3 tackles on Monday night.
