Tottenham manager sack update: Oliver Glasner odds slashed to take over from doomed Ange Postecoglou

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner
Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner is now the favourite to become the next Tottenham manager after leading the Eagles to their first major trophy.
The Austrian had his odds slashed from 16/1 to 5/1 by bookies after stunning the favourites Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday afternoon.
Glasner had been a big outsider to take over from current Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglu before the weekend began, way behind leading candidates Thomas Frank, Mauricio Pochettino, Marco Silva and Andoni Silva.
Many believe Postecoglou has had his chips at Tottenham even if they win the Europa League Final on Wednesday night against Manchester United.
After the FA Cup final, Palace co-owner Steve Parish made an attempt to ward off would-be suitors for Glasner’s affections.
“He will stay here and for some period of time,” Parish said.
“I am trying to live in the moment. What happens down the track, summer transfer window, players - that's for tomorrow. But he’ll be here next year and then we’ll take it from there."
Glasner secured Crystal Palace’s first major trophy in 120 years and will lead the side to another mid-table finish this season. Something Tottenham fans will be jealous of given their current league position.
The next Tottenham manager market has seen quite a shuffling of candidates in the last couple of days with Burnley boss Scott Parker climbing from 40/1 to the 6/1 second favourite.
Former Ajax coach Francesco Farioli also joined the running this weekend at 10/1, despite throwing away the Eredivisie title. He left the Dutch giants on Monday.
