Tottenham confirm signing of Djed Spence for £12.5m from Middlesbrough

Tottenham have confirmed their sixth signing of the summer, with Antonio Conte adding Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence to his squad.

Tottenham's summer of spending continued on Tuesday morning, with the Premier League club confirming the £12.5million signing of Middlesbrough full-back Djed Spence.
Spence spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, where he impressed with two goals in 39 appearances as they earned promotion back to the Premier League.
Having then returned to Middlesbrough this summer, Forest and Tottenham both showed interest in signing the promising 21-year-old right-back.
However, it was the north London club who came out on top, with Spence signing a contract that'll see him stay at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium until 2027.
Spence marks Tottenham's sixth signing of the summer, with Antonio Conte already adding Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison and Clement Lenglet to his squad.
