Tottenham boss Antonio Conte planning double free transfer raid on the San Siro

Spurs favourites to land midfielder after tabling pre-contract offers for two in-demand Serie A stars.

After two years in charge at Inter, it is no surprise that Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is planning on returning to the San Siro for a couple of significant free transfer coups.
However, it is not Inter that the former I Nerazzurri chief is targeting but their arch-rivals AC Milan.

Conte has his heart set on two pre-contract additions that will have a significant impact on his Spurs squad.

His first target is Frank Kessie, one of the most in-demand midfielders in Serie A.
The Ivory Coast international is on Africa Cup of Nations duty, but is sure to have his phone switched on as a host of clubs are readying offers.

Kessie is out of contract at AC Milan at the end of the season and can now officially receive offers, with one of those sure to be coming from Spurs.

And bookies certainly feel Spurs are in pole position to secure his signature, pricing him at Evens to make the move to Tottenham. That is ahead of the likes of Manchester United (3/1) and Liverpool (5/1), who have both been strongly linked to the 25-year-old.

And Tottenham may not just be done with Kessie when it comes to Milan as they are also readying a deal for his captain Alessio Romagnoli.

Romagnoli joined Milan in 2015 from AS Roma and has made 239 appearances for I Rossoneri. However, he has only started 11 Serie A games this term and has rejected the terms of a contract extension.

It means the Italian international defender is also out of contract at the end of the campaign and he, like Kessie, is expecting an offer from Spurs.
However, bookies are not so sure he will be joining his team-mate at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs are rated at 8/1 to land his signature.

Favourites to land him are Italian giants Juventus at 5/2 although Chelsea, who could be in the market for a number of defenders this summer, are rated at just 3/1.
