Antonio Conte favourite to be the next Premier League manager to go - if anyone leaves at all

Spurs’ head coach has seen his odds shorten amid rumours of discontent at the north London club. However, the bookies still believe there won’t be any more managerial changes this season.

Antonio Conte is now the manager most likely to leave before the end of the season according to bookmakers.
Talk of unrest behind the scenes at Tottenham escalated after Steve Hitchen, the man who masterminded the club's big-money transfers, resigned as director of technical performance.
Hitchen was reported to be frustrated with his reduced role in players recruitment over the past two transfer windows following the arrival of Fabio Paratici as managing director of football.

Hitchen negotiated deals to sign Bruno Fernandes, Paulo Dybala and Jack Grealish before Tottenham pulled out and was also behind the recruitment of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Sergio Reguilon, Matt Doherty and Gareth Bale under Jose Mourinho.

With Hitchen sidelined, Paratici was tasked with landing Conte's two priority targets in January only to see Adama Traore move to Barcelona and Luis Diaz opt for Liverpool.

Paratici's failure in the transfer market - despite Spurs picking up Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevki from Juventus - has strengthened the belief among bookmakers that Conte will walk before the season is through.

Conte has already been highly critical of Spurs' quality in depth and there are doubts he has the stomach for a long-term project.

Their lack of success in attracting Traore and Diaz only underlined how difficult it will be to assemble a squad to rival Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea, something Conte already felt wouldn't be possible inside a year.

Nevertheless, despite Conte's frustration, the bookies still believe we won't see another departure before the summer.

For while Conte is into 11/2 to be the next manager on their way, no manager to leave is as short as 3/1 in places.
Sean Dyche, Burnley, Manager, Premier League
Burnley manager Sean Dyche is currently next best at 6/1 which puts him in pretty safe territory when you consider five of the eight bosses sacked this season were no strangers to being odds-on.

The writing was on the wall long before Steve Bruce, Nuno Espirito Santo, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Rafael Benitez and Claudio Ranieri were finally put out of their misery.

But while Conte may be on rocky ground at Tottenham, across north London Mikel Arteta is sitting much more comfortably in his seat.
As short as 4/9 to be the next manager to leave following the Gunners' shocking start to the season, Arteta can now be backed at odds of around 66/1.
