Sean Dyche now leading the charge for vacant West Brom role

Sean Dyche has jumped to top billing in the race for the West Brom hot seat, after Roy Keane pulled himself out of the reckoning.

Keane was immediately installed as the bookies favourite after Steve Bruce was sacked on Monday morning. But the former Manchester United star had no interest in taking the job in the first place.

"I think I've been favourite for a few jobs over the last year it was all nonsense," Keane told Monday Night Football. "That's the same of the speculation over the last 24hrs - absolute rubbish!"

Former Burnley boss Dyche is now the 2/1 favourite and also tops many West Brom fans' polls. But it is rumoured he is holding out for a Premier League job.

Wigan boss Leam Richardson has shot up the market over the last 24 hours and is lurking at a best price 4/1. While former Huddersfield and Olympiacos boss Carlos Corberan follows closely behind at 5/1.
According to reports talks have already start with Corberan, who led Huddersfield within touching distance of the Premier League but then totally flopped in Greece.

Former Middlesbrough manager Chris Wilder is clinging on in there at 6/1, while Scott Parker has drifted to 8/1.

Bolton boss Ian Evatt (16/1) and Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna (20/1) have now joined the fray, as has Everton first team coach Paul Clement (16/1) who didn't have much joy as manager of Derby, Swansea, Reading and Cercle Brugge.

One looming presence that hangs over the market, which won't please many West Brom fans, is that of Sam Allardyce, who steered the club to relegation from the Premier League in 2021.

Big Sam is currently placed at 16/1 with some bookies in the highly unlikely event the Baggies board want another spin on that ride.
