Real Madrid boosted as Eduardo Camavinga returns ahead of Girona clash

Real Madrid face a crucial La Liga fixture against Girona this Saturday, with injuries posing concerns for the team.

Antonio Rudiger and Vinicius Junior are the focal points of attention, both uncertain for the showdown against the second-placed team.

Reports from Javi Herraez on Cadena SER suggest that while the German defender may be available, a left thigh issue looms large, potentially side-lining him. With the Champions League clash against Leipzig looming next Tuesday, coach Carlo Ancelotti might opt for rotation, considering Aurelien Tchouameni or a possible repetition of Dani Carvajal's role in the derby.

Meanwhile, Vinicius' participation appears more probable despite recent cervical issues. The Brazilian's early withdrawal from the warm-up against Atletico Madrid was precautionary, as per Anton Meana on 'Carrusel Deportivo'. Although he continues to battle discomfort, the week's rest promises a timely recovery.

Both players, along with Eduardo Camavinga, who has fully recuperated from his Atletico Madrid match concerns, have been diligently training at Valdebebas, striving to make the Saturday fixture.

However, Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao, and David Alaba remain sidelined. Courtois, recovering from a cruciate ligament rupture since August, is progressing well, recently integrating ball exercises. Militao, in the final stages of recovery, might return within weeks, potentially by mid-March.

David Alaba's return seems distant, as he continues rehabilitation following surgery in December. The focus is on a thorough recovery for the next season's preseason, ensuring his readiness and integration into the team dynamic.

With Camavinga's return providing a much-needed boost, Real Madrid face Girona with renewed optimism amidst their injury woes.
