    Europa Conference League trophy

Chelsea are on the verge of becoming the first club to win all four major European competitions when they face Real Betis in the Europa Conference League Final on Wednesday night in in Wroclaw.

The Blues have quietly gone about their business in this competition without anyone really noticing or seemingly being that bothered.

Now that Chelsea have secured Champions League football for next season, they can turn their full attention to the Conference League final and bring home some silverware after a patchy season.

Chelsea boss Enzo Marseca could really do with this trophy to appease the Blues faithful that has been on his back for large chunks of the campaign.

Chelsea have been heavy favourites to win Europa Conference League since it kicked off at the start of the season and have cruised through the competition mainly playing sides most people can’t spell or point to on a map.

The Blues took 18 points from 18 in the group stage, have scored in every knockout tie and only lost once. They have also lost just one of their last nine European finals just to make them look even more appealing.

Meanwhile, Real Betis are challenging for their first continental trophy under former Premier League head coach Manuel Pellegrini, once of Manchester City and West Ham.

Los Verdiblancos have had a tricky route to Poland and it really feels like they’ve earned their place in the final. They are a big underdog here, especially as they are without a win in their last five, but are certainly capable of giving Chelsea a fright.

Let’s have a look at some of the best tips for the Europa Conference League final. If you fancy a punt on any of these selections, or putting it into a 37/1 bet builder, you can visit our friends at Betway.

    Chelsea win

Chelsea won five of their last six in all competitions, and arrive with some positive momentum having edged past Nottingham Forest 1-0 on Sunday to secure their Champions League berth

Only Legia Warsaw managed to beat them in the knockout stages, but with Chelsea already holding a 3-0 win from the first leg, they clearly weren’t in top gear.

That has been a problem for Chelsea this season, despite all their talent they have flattered to deceive.

On the other side of the coin Real Betis travel to Poland in some dire form. They last won at Espanyol at the start of May, five games ago.

They needed extra-time to beat Fiorentina 4-3 on aggregate in the semi-finals, and since then have notched up three draws and a hefty 4-1 slap round the chops from Atletico Madrid.

Still they finished the La Liga season in 6th and secured a Europa League place for next season, whatever happens here.

Chelsea can edge this match, but don’t expect this to be easy for them.

    Over 2.5 goals

Chelsea have seen four of their six knockout ties feature over 2.5 goals, while it’s five from eight for Betis.

Only one of the last three Conference League finals has gone over 2.5 goals, but both teams love to play front-foot football, and neither defence is infallible, so this looks like a good bet to us.

    Both teams to score

Betis have scored in seven of their eight Conference League knockout games, and both teams have netted in 14 of their last 15 matches in all competitions.

Chelsea are strong going forward, but haven’t always been convincing at the back this season.

    Antony +1 shot on target

Manchester United did a brilliant job in throwing away players who have gone on to have great seasons.

Serie A winner Scott McTominay, West Ham player of year Aaron Wan-Bissaka and then there’s Antony who has been on fire for Real Betis since joining on loan in January.

He’s made 14 goal contributions across 25 matches for Betis and averages 1.59 shots on target in the Conference League.

Antony also scored in both semi-final legs against Fiorentina and in Betis’ last league game of the season against Valencia, so will be keen to show the British audience at home what they Premier League is missing. A shot on target seems like a minimum requirement.

    Palmer +2 shots

Cole Palmer is trying to rekindle his form that appears to have gone awol in 2025.

While he has struggled for goals and assists in this half of the season, he’s not been shy when it comes to shooting.

He’s had 11 shots in his last four Premier League games and being kept under wraps for most of the Europa Conference League should make him keen to make a big impact in the final, especially as he’ll be taking free-kicks and penalties.

    Isco goal or assist

Not a lot goes on at Real Betis without Isco getting involved.

The former Real Madrid man has scored 12 goals and has ten assists across all competitions this season.

He’s also put on three assists and a goal in Real Betis’ last four league games and rarely has a game where he stinks up the place.

Good luck and please gamble responsibly.
