Phil Neville’s son puts pen to paper on a first-team Inter Miami contract

Inter Miami boss Phil Neville will be able to call on his son Harvey after the 20-year-old signed a first-team contract with the MLS club.

Neville has been in action for Inter Miami's second team in the MLS NEXT Pro competition since joining the club in July 2021.

The full-back has become just the third player to work his way up from the reserves side and secure a first-team deal.
Centre-back Aime Mabika and local talent Noah Allen were the first players to work their way into Phil Neville's side.
Harvey, who is a former Manchester United academy player, has represented the Republic of Ireland at under-19 level.
The youngster agreed a contract until the end of the 2024 campaign, though there is an option of extending that deal for 2025 and 2026.
The club's sporting director Chris Henderson said: "Harvey has developed well over these last two seasons with Inter Miami CF II.
"We're pleased with his progress as a young player in our system and feel his versatility will offer us cover in a number of areas."

Neville has already been involved with the first-team having linked up with the squad during their pre-season campaign.

The youngster featured in two friendlies and even bagged a goal in a 4-0 win over Peruvian side, Club Universitario de Deportes.
Inter are currently battling to stay in the top seven and secure a play-off spot.
The team are unbeaten in five games and have recently picked up back-to-back victories over New York City and Toronto.
