Frustrated Pogba looks set to ditch Manchester United for Paris Saint-Germain

Ligue 1 giants favourites with Planet Sport Bet to land French international midfielder ahead of Juventus and Real Madrid.

Paul Pogba cut a frustrated figure as he trudged off the pitch following his red card in Manchester United's crushing 5-0 defeat to rivals Liverpool on Sunday.

The midfielder has been struggling for form recently and this latest grim chapter in his Old Trafford book of misery seems to be pushing him closer to the exit.

Pogba is no nearer to agreeing a new contract at Manchester United, and it appears increasingly likely that he is already looking at his next stop. He was probably already looking at buying new suitcases after the debacle at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer probably has bigger fish to fry at the moment. Without a win in four league games and seventh in the table, the knives are out and already Zinedine Zidane is the favourite to replace him if he gets sacked.

United are now a staggering 66/1 with the bookies to win the Premier League title, they were 33/1 last week and 24/1 the week before that.

Pogba will not discount signing a new deal until the New Year - but the French international is now just two months away from being able to sign a contract with another club, given his contract expires in summer 2022.

The chance to land Pogba on a free transfer is too much for many to resist, and he has no shortage of suitors.

Real Madrid have never hidden the fact they wanted Pogba, and they had a three-pronged French plan - Eduardo Camavinga, Kylian Mbappe and Pogba.

Camavinga was snapped up in the summer, Mbappe is on course to arrive at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2022 and now a deal for Pogba is in the pipeline.

Planet Sport Bet make Real second favourites at 4/1 to seal the deal for Pogba. However, they are not the favourites.

Leading the chase, at least according to the bookies, are Paris Saint-Germain, who have a rich history of big Bosman free transfers in recent times.

Only this summer they tied up deals for Lionel Messi, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Gini Wijnaldum and they are 9/4 to claim Pogba's signature. That is a 30% probability of him returning to his homeland for the first time since leaving Le Havre for United as a teenager.

His other former club, Juventus, are also very much in the mix, with head coach Max Allegri a huge fan of his former charge. They are rated 5/1 shots.

Planet Sport Bet spokesman Mike Grenham admitted the Pogba market is going to see plenty of action before his next club is confirmed.

"Paul Pogba has a huge 2022 ahead of him personally," said Grenham. "He has his pick of clubs and as we stand it is Paris Saint-Germain who lead the race. However, the market could change quickly with Real Madrid and Juventus likely to make him big offers."
