Nottingham Forest v Chelsea: Prediction, tips and bet builder

Nottingham Forest's Chris Wood applauds the fans after the Premier League match at City Ground
The biggest game on the Preier League’s final day takes place at the City Ground as Nottingham Forest and Chelsea indulge in a European football shootout (1600 BST).
When the bookmakers got together at the start of the season, they had Nottingham Forest as one of the leading relegation contenders. Priced at around the 2/1 mark, there was no shortage of doubters who backed the Tricky Trees to fall back into the Championship.
The footballing gods, however, had different ideas. Under the stewardship of Nuno Espirito Santo, Forest have enjoyed a historic campaign – one which will end with the Nottingham club qualifying for Europe.
There is, of course, just one question left to answer – which European competition will Forest actually qualify for.
A win for Forest on Sunday will secure Europa League football at the very least and deny Chelsea top tier continental football. Should Aston Villa or Newcastle slip-up, Santo and his men will book their spot in the Champions League.
The scenario for Chelsea is a lot simpler. Victory in Nottingham will take the Blues back into the elite for the first time since the 2022/23 season.
While Chelseanare still not the powerhouse they once were, Enzo Maresca appears to be taking them in the right direction.
Securing a top five finish and going on to win the Conference League final would mark a strong season for the Italian. Then again, missing out on both those aspirations would push Maresca close to the exit door.
Stakes on Sunday are high, but Chelsea will be coming into the fixture with momentum under their wings.
The Blues have won six of their last seven outings – including a 1-0 win over Man United last time out. Forest, on the other hand, snapped their four-match winless run with an away victory against a struggling West Ham side.
Despite winning two of their last seven Premier League games, Forest will be buoyed by their record against Chelsea which includes just one defeat from five.
Here we pick out some of our best tips for this juicy Premier League meeting, and if you put it into a Betway bet builder you’ll get odds of around 7/1.

Nottingham Forest need just one more special night at the City Ground in order to give themselves a good shot at Champions League football. We’re backing the hosts to turn it on and bag all three points.
Previous five meetings between these clubs have produced three draws and one win each. However, Chelsea’s recent away record in the Premier League is a major red flag, with the Blues winning just one of their last 10 games on the road in the competition and losing six.
Both teams to score is our second bet builder addition. This bet has landed in Nottingham’s last three games, and it was also successful in four of the last five head-to-head encounters.
Forest will be looking for Chris Wood to finish his spectacular season on a high. The New Zealand international has scored 20 Premier League goals this season and we’re backing the forward to get at least one shot on target against Chelsea.
Lastly, we’re backing the Blues to have the most shots on target. With Forest often resorting to counter attacks and playing relatively deep, Chelsea should get their fair share of opportunities.
