  • Nottingham Forest Boss Cooper Has 'One More Game' To Save His Job After Fulham Thrashing

Nottingham Forest boss Cooper has 'one more game' to save his job after Fulham thrashing

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper reportedly has one more game to save himself from the sack after a humiliating 5-0 defeat at Fulham on Wednesday.

Cooper's team have been in dreadful form of late, losing their last four Premier League matches and conceding 12 goals during that period.

A report from Talksport suggests that Cooper will be given 'one more game' to save his job at Forest, therefore all eyes will be on the welshman on Saturday as his team take on Wolves at Molineux.

Responding to speculation surrounding his future in a press conference on Thursday morning, Cooper said: "I don't think like that. That is not a good way to think, it is like saying to a player 'you will have to play well or not play again'- it is not a thought process I believe in using.

"We are disappointed with results and last night's performance. More than ever you have to show belief and character and what you stand for.

"There is going to be questions and stories, I respect that as it is the life of a football manager. At the same time you have to stay honed in on your day's work and if I let anything else creep in I am not giving 100% to the job and that is what I want to do.

"We are a collective, but it is the supporters getting let down. But it starts from me."

However, Forest fans will feel a sense of deja vu, as owner Evangelos Marinakis has been close to giving Cooper the boot on several occasions during his tenure, but the welshman has bounced back whenever his  position has come under scrutiny.

Forest now lie just six points above the relegation zone after this poor run of form and have some tough upcoming fixtures, with games against Tottenham, Newcastle and Manchester United coming in the next month.
