Mohamed Salah reaches 150 goals for Liverpool: A look at his milestone strikes along the way

Liverpool’s Egyptian King struck for the 150th time in his side’s 3-1 home win against Norwich City at the weekend.

Salah's strike saw him become only the 10th player in Liverpool's history to reach the landmark of goals, while he also became the second-fastest to reach 150 goals (232 games) - Roger Hunt reached the same amount in six fewer games.

To celebrate Salah's goal-filled time at Anfield, we revisit his landmark strikes, starting with his very first for the club.

1 - Watford 3-3 Liverpool (August 12, 2017)

Mohamed Salah, hattrick, Liverpool, Watford, Premier League

Salah opened his account for Liverpool in Jurgen Klopp's 100th game in charge of Liverpool, in a thrilling 3-3 draw at Vicarage Road in 2017.

In what was his Premier League debut for Liverpool, Salah began as he meant to go on, winning a penalty that was converted by Roberto Firmino. Two minutes later, Firmino returned the favour as he chipped the ball over goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes, leaving Salah to prod the ball over the line.

It seemed that Salah had won all three points for his new team, having arrived from Roma in the summer for £36.9million, but Watford grabbed a controversial equaliser in added time.

10 - Liverpool 3-0 NK Maribor (November 1, 2017)

Half of the Egyptian's first 10 goals for Liverpool actually came in the Champions League, and it took him less than two months to reach double figures.

Salah opened the scoring after also netting twice in the reverse fixture against the Slovenian side in a 7-0 victory. Although wasteful in front of goal on other occasions in the match, he got on the end of a trademark whipped Trent Alexander-Arnold cross to flick the ball home and sent Liverpool on their way to the knockout stages for the first time since the 2008/09 season.

He had hit the ground running at Anfield and the next five years since have been full of goals.

25 - Liverpool 2-3 West Brom (January 27, 2018)

A game that won't live long in the memory of Liverpool fans. They were dumped out of the FA Cup in the fourth round at home by West Brom in a match plagued with multiple VAR decisions.

It was, however, the game in which Mohamed Salah notched his 25th goal in all competitions.

Liverpool took the lead through an early Roberto Firmino goal, but the strike was cancelled out by two goals in four minutes by Baggies striker Jay Rodriguez. Firmino then became the villain as he failed to convert from the spot, and to make matters worse, Albion made it 3-1 in first half stoppage time due to a Joel Matip own goal.

Mohamed Salah did grab a consolation goal in the 78th minute when a cross hit a defender and he was able to side-foot the ball past a stationary Ben Foster in the West Brom net.

50 - Liverpool 4-0 Red Star (October 24, 2018)

Another milestone in a Champions League group stage match. Salah raced to half a century for Liverpool, becoming the fastest player to ever do so for the club.

He reached 50 goals after playing only 65 games, beating Albert Stubbins' previous record of 77 appearances.

On the night he scored a brace to help his side to a comfortable 4-0 victory, with his 49th Liverpool goal being a powerful right-footed attempt just before half time, before he got his 50th via a penalty.

100 - Everton 2-2 Liverpool (October 17, 2020)

Mohamed Salah celebrates scoring for Liverpool in the Merseyside derby
In a Merseyside Derby marred by Jordan Pickford's challenge on Liverpool centre-back Virgil van Dijk, which consequently ruled him out of action for 255 days, Mohamed Salah popped up with his 100th goal for the Reds in a game that had everything aside from a winning goal.
An instinctive left-footed volley from Salah put his team into a 2-1 lead, but a late Dominic Calvert-Lewin strike meant that Everton continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League season, albeit controversially.
After Salah collected his 100th goal in his 159th appearance, it meant that only Roger Hunt (144) and Jack Parkinson (153) had reached the number in less games.

150 - Liverpool 3-1 Norwich (19 February, 2022)

Liverpool fell behind to a deflected Milot Rashica shot just after half time, but turned the game around thanks to three superb goals from Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and new recruit Luis Diaz.
The game will be remembered as the one in which Liverpool's star man Mohamed Salah registered his 150th goal for the club, joining a list of just 10 other names in history to do so.

An incredible pass from goalkeeper Allison landed directly at the feet of Salah who had the goal at his mercy. As Norwich keeper Angus Gunn came out of his goal, it allowed his team mates to get back behind the ball, but that couldn't deter the sensational Salah.

Turning back onto his right foot just outside the Canaries area, Salah twisted the Norwich defence into knots before calmy sliding the ball home with his right foot.

It wasn't the Egyptian's only milestone either - the goal was Salah's 25th of the season across all competitions.
