Miguel Almiron’s agent reveals his player’s plans regarding his Newcastle future

As Newcastle United’s new regime outlines the need to bolster their attacking options this summer, Miguel Almiron’s future has become uncertain ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League season.

Miguel Almiron is not short of admirers in the north-east thanks to his energy levels off the ball and willingness to work for his team - even if Jack Grealish isn't a fan.
Naturally left-sided, the 28-year-old has featured on the right wing, left wing and even in a defensive wing-back role under former Magpies manager Steve Bruce.
However, there remain question marks about the Paraguay international's ability to contribute in the final third. He scored just one goal in 30 Premier League appearances last season and failed to provide a single assist.

Nevertheless, the £25million man ended the season on a high, starting six of the last seven games for Newcastle, of which they won five. He also scored the winning goal in the narrow victory over Crystal Palace in April.

The former Atlanta United forward has now gone even further to answer his critics by notching his first-ever brace for his national side. Almiron scored both goals as Paraguay drew 2-2 in a friendly against South Korea on Friday.
With the player enjoying a rich vein of form, his agent, Daniel Campos, has banished any thoughts of an exit for the Paraguayan, stating that Almiron is staying at Newcastle United.
"(Almiron) had good performances in recent times (towards the end of the season) and we are happy with that," said Campos.
"Everything is normal and that he is at the best club (Newcastle United) in the world."
