Manchester United could sign Robin Koch from Leeds United

Robin Koch could swap Leeds United for Manchester United this summer, according to reports.

Manchester United have been linked with a shock swoop for Leeds United defender Robin Koch.

Sky Sports DE reporter Florian Plettenberg broke the news on Thursday evening that Erik ten Hag considers the German an option.

Writing on Twitter, he said, "He's on the shortlist of Man Utd! Loose talks took place".
Alan Smith was the last Leeds United player to join their fierce rivals when he crossed the Pennines in 2004.
The Reds are in need of defensive reinforcements with Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Phil Jones all coming under criticism during the 2022/23 season.
Robin Koch will strike many as an odd choice, but there's no suggestion the German international is high on their wish list.
He's cut a composed figure during a challenging spell at Leeds and would fit Ten Hag's desire for more ball-playing centre-backs.
Despite having a year left on his deal, reports suggest a relegation clause could allow Koch to leave on a free transfer this summer.
The 26-year-old has made 73 Premier League appearances and could provide some much-needed depth.
