Manchester United news: Max Aarons interest, Alvaro Morata offer and Adrien Rabiot progress

With three weeks to go until the transfer window officially closes, Manchester United are continuing to look for ways of improving their squad.

Erik ten Hag watched his men fall to a 2-1 defeat against Brighton on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.

Away from the field, United are also doing it tough in the transfer market as they continue to look for summer additions.

One name who is nearing a move to Old Trafford is Juventus central-midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The 27-year-old has spent the last three seasons in Turin, where he made 129 appearances across all competitions.

Before his move to Serie A, the French international spent seven seasons at PSG where he made 227 appearances and scored 24 goals.

According to Sky Sports, Ten Hag and United's recruitment department are fully aligned on the transfer as talks over personal terms continue.

Elsewhere, United have switched their attention from Marko Arnautovic to a possible move for Alvaro Morata.

The 29-year-old has two years remaining on his deal with Atletico Madrid, but according to Sky he has been offered to the Old Trafford club.

The Spaniard has prior Premier League experience, having scored 24 goals in 72 appearances for Chelsea.
Another man who has entered the Man United rumour mill is Norwich City right-back Max Aarons.

According to Sky Sports reporter Melissa Reddy, the player has previously been targeted by the club.

The 22-year-old has made 168 appearances for Norwich across all competitions and could become a possible solution for Ten Hag on the right side of his defence.
