Man Utd's Bailly and PSG's Kehrer jump up West Ham shopping list as Dan-Axel Zagadou drops off
West Ham are turning up the heat on their hunt for a centre-back with Manchester United's Eric Bailly and PSG's Thilo Kehrer the most likely to join the club, according to reports.
West Ham's defence has lurched back into the all too familiar 'bare bones' territory with Craig Dawson, Nayef Aguerd and Angelo Ogbonna all on their way back from injuries and Issa Diop downing tools.
That leaves just Kurt Zouma as the only fit senior centre-back, with full-back Ben Johnson being drafted in to plug the hole.
West Ham United have reportedly made an initial approach to Paris Saint-Germain for Thilo Kehrer, who has made more than 100 appearances for the French giants since a 2018 transfer from Schalke.
West Ham transfer expert ExWHUemployee is reporting that West Ham have several irons in the fire as they hunt for a centre-back with Bailly and Kehrer at the top of club's most wanted list.
However, former Borussia Dortmund defender Dan-Axel Zagadou, who is a free agent and has been heavily linked with West Ham over the weekend, now looks likely to be swerved.
ExWHUemployee said on his podcast: “One I’m going to deny is Zagadou.
"Borna Sosa is one but he's had Chelsea, although they've signed Cucurella, and Man City so I'd be surprised if he came to West Ham.
