Liverpool v Tottenham: Predictions, tips and bet builder as Reds continue quadruple hunt

Liverpool will need to overturn a 1-0 deficit against Tottenham as they bid to reach a record-extending 15th Carabao Cup final (Thursday, 2000 GMT).
Top of the Champions League, top of the Premier League, still in the FA Cup and still in the Carabao Cup – Arne Slot is certainly not messing about in his first season in charge.
Winning the quadruple at his first attempt would be the achievement of all footballing achievements, but unfortunately for the Dutchman, the road to glory still has a number of obstacles.
One of those obstacles is Tottenham. Now let’s be honest, Spurs aren’t the toughest obstacle to overcome, but in spite of their rotten season Postecoglou’s men are actually half-decent when it comes to competitions outside of the Premier League.
Here, we take a closer look at Thursday’s big game and pick out some of the best bets along the way.
Good luck and please gamble responsibly.

Liverpool to progress in normal time – 4/7

Liverpool to progress in normal time
If Tottenham are to take a big step towards their first trophy since 2008, they will need to do something that only Nottingham Forest have managed this season – that is to stop Liverpool at Anfield.
Bar the 1-0 home defeat to Forest, Slot’s men have won 14 of 16 home games and have scored two or more goals in all of those matches – including the two draws.
Another reason to back the Reds is Tottenham’s away record at Anfield. It really doesn’t fill us with confidence.
Spurs are winless at Anfield since 2011 and have lost 10 of their last 14 visits to the ground. What’s more, they conceded four goals on their last two visits.
Bearing all that in mind, we have no choice but to back Liverpool to win the tie… and win it in normal time.
Over 3.5 goals
The 1-0 result last time out was a real anomaly. Normally, these two teams tend to produce thrilling goal galore encounters, with recent scorelines including 3-6, 4-2 and 4-3. In fact, those were three of the last five meetings.
Both teams likes to attack, both like to score and considering this is the second leg, expect Liverpool to go after their opponents.
With that in mind, the over 3.5 bet should make for a good accumulator addition.
Over 10.5 corners
To the frustration of Tottenham fans, Postecoglou’s men only really know one way of playing and it’s not exactly very defensive.
With Liverpool and Tottenham expected to trade blows, that can only have a positive impact of the number of corners.
Recent Spurs games have produced a high number of corners and we’re backing that trend to continue.
Mo Salah to score anytime
Backing Mo Salah to score in bet builders is a real cheat code. The Egyptian is a real goalscoring machine this season, and he isn’t showing any signs of stopping.
Salah scored four goals across his last three matches – including a brace against Bournemouth last time out.
The forward is clearly preparing to leave the club on a high and we’re backing him to continue his goalscoring trend.
