Leeds United transfer news: Transfer Guru reveals Whites interest in exciting PSG starlet

Leeds United are interested in signing 20-year-old PSG midfielder Edouard Michut, according to reports.

Leeds United are one of several clubs interested in securing the services of PSG midfielder Edouard Michut, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The highly-touted Frenchman impressed on loan at Sunderland last season where he played with Leeds loanee Joe Gelhardt.
Michut, 20, joined Sunderland on a season-long loan from the Ligue 1 club and played 28 times in league and cup for the Black Cats.
Previous reports state that Tony Mowbray had the opportunity to sign him for as little as £2 million but opted against it.
The youngster operated in three different roles across the midfield in the Championship, playing as both an attacking and deeper-lying midfielder.
His skillset lends itself more to playing in an advanced role and that's an area of the pitch where Daniel Farke is actively looking to strengthen.
While it may seem odd that relegated Leeds would target a player surplus to requirements at Sunderland, it's clear Michut has a bright future ahead of him.
He featured eight times for PSG in Ligue 1 and French Cup action and would surely benefit from being part of a more experienced side.
The Whites announced their first summer signing earlier this week as Ethan Ampadu joined from Premier League Chelsea for a fee rising to £10 million.
However, they are short of midfield options with Ampadu, Darko Gyabi and 17-year-old Archie Gray the only first-team midfielders who are certain to remain on the books.
Planet Sport understands that Leeds are also considering Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara and ex-Bristol City and Monaco player Han-Noah Massengo among others.
