Leeds United loanee Weston McKennie expected to sign for German title contender

Ex-Leeds United loanee Weston McKennie is close to sealing a move to Borussia Dortmund, according to reports.

Weston McKennie is close to securing a permanent transfer from Juventus to Borussia Dortmund, according to reports.
Despite intense criticism of the level of his performances at Leeds United the American international has landed on his feet.
Dortmund were just one goal away from securing the Bundesliga title last season but dropped points on the final day.
McKennie, 24, increased his stock among US national team fans who sought to defend his time in Yorkshire by helping the USA lift the Nations League last month.
His commitment to the cause was on show as he was sent off in a fiery encounter with arch-rivals Mexico.
Another star of the United States' summer success, Gio Reyna, featured 22 times for Borussia Dortmund last season.

McKennie remains under contract at Juventus until 2025 but the Old Lady are open to a sale.

The Italians are expected to ask for a fee in the region of £26 million for the midfielder.
The German club are looking to bolster their ranks after losing Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid, Mahmoud Dahoud to Brighton and Raphael Guerreiro to Bayern Munich.
Jose Mourinho's Roma and AC Milan are also weighing up a move but could be discouraged by the price tag.
McKennie featured 19 times for Leeds in the Premier League last season and will suit up for a fourth club in five years if a move goes through.
