Leeds United and Leicester City among Premier League clubs targeting young Championship defender

Hull City have got their work cut out if they are to keep their latest defensive talent.

Hull City defender Alfie Taylor is seen as a transfer target for multiple Premier League clubs, according to recent reports.

The 19-year-old is yet to start for Hull's first team, though he has performed well in the club's youth set-up.
Hull have a good record when it comes to producing quality defenders, so it is easy to understand why so many teams are tracking Taylor's progress.
Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire and Liverpool's Andrew Robertson, for instance, both spent time at Hull.
Tigers regular Jacob Greaves is also a homegrown talent and is held in high regards.
With many Premier League clubs keeping their tabs on Taylor, Hull are eager to keep him and they could have the best chance at getting a long-term signature.

The teenager has been with the Tigers youth set-up since the age of nine.

Both Leeds United and Leicester City - who have been linked with the player - have struggled defensively this season and now face the very real threat of relegation.
Should this happen, Taylor could be a real option during the summer as they look to rebuild.
Taylor is yet to be officially valued, but Hull aren't expected to entertain any offers lower than their own evaluation.
