Man City return to Club World Cup action this Thursday night as they take on Juventus in a game which will determine the winner of Group G (2000 BST).

Having won their first two games, City and Juventus are both assured a spot in the last 16 – the only real question concerns who will take the top spot.

Pep Guardiola’s men kicked off their campaign with a routine 2-0 win over Wydad, before making easy work of Al-Ain in a 6-0 demolition.

Igor Tudor’s side followed a similar script, thrashing Al-Ain 5-0 in their opener, before securing their place in the knockout stage with a 4-1 victory over Wydad.

Both clubs are now preparing for their first real test as they go head-to-head at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

Both clubs will be well aware of a potential last 16 date with Real Madrid, meaning they both have plenty of reason to go out and get the win.

This will be the eighth competitive clash between City and Juve, with the Italian side winning the most recent encounter which took place last December in the Champions League.

The Old Lady powered to a 2-0 victory on that occasion, extending their impressive head-to-head record which consists of five wins and just one defeat.

While City are regarded as favourites by the bookmakers, the Serie A side cannot be underestimated – especially considering their impressive goal scoring record which has seen them rattle the net 14 times across their last four competitive outings.

Juventus also tend to start on the front foot, scoring the first goal in their last three matches before the 15th minute mark.

Then again, City are favourites for a good reason. The Premier League outfit have now won four straight Club World Cup fixtures by a combined scoreline of 15-0.

Throughout his managerial career, Guardiola has won all 10 of his Club World Cup matches, with his teams scoring a total of 33 goals.

The two European giants are both in good form and both looking to avoid a showdown with Real Madrid in the knockout stage – sounds like the perfect recipe for a cracking match.

Here, we take a closer look at the fixture and pick out some of the best bets along the way.

Juventus v Man City bet builder

Man City to win – 10/11

Both teams to score – 5/6

    Over 7.5 corners – 2/5

Erling Haaland to score anytime – 6/5

Man City might have a poor head-to-head record with Juventus, but considering just one of their seven meetings has taken place within the last decade, it is impossible to draw any serious conclusions.

Recent form is a far better indicator of things to come and that is certainly pointing to a close encounter.

Both teams have only suffered one defeat from their last 10 competitive outings, and both have been dominant in the early days of the Club World Cup.

Nevertheless, City have significantly strengthened over the summer, and we are backing their big investments to reap big rewards.

The Citizens are priced as second-favourites to win this entire competition, and we are throwing our weight behind them to beat Juventus.

Both teams to score and over 7.5 corners are also solid additions to a bet builder, ahead of what promises to be a close encounter.

In terms of specific player bets, Erling Haaland to score anytime is currently available at 6/5. The Norwegian striker is closing in on his 300th top flight and international career goal – an astounding achievement for a 24-year-old.
